Split RPET Upper, Engineered for the Trail
The Speedgoat 7 introduces a new split-upper construction using two different types of woven RPET textile — a more breathable, flexible weave in the forefoot that allows the foot to splay naturally, and a tighter, more tightly woven construction in the heel for secure lockdown and debris resistance. The result is an upper that breathes and drains well while keeping dirt and sand out through even the most demanding terrain. A refined heel collar sits lower and is more naturally shaped than the previous version for improved comfort and reduced chafing, and a new integrated gaiter attachment at the heel makes it easy to add a gaiter for even greater debris protection. Reflective elements on the heel add an extra layer of safety on low-light runs.
Supercritical EVA Midsole, Vibram Megagrip Outsole
For the first time in the franchise's history, the Speedgoat 7 features a supercritical foamed EVA midsole — a meaningful step up from the compressed EVA used previously — delivering better energy return, a more responsive and airy underfoot feel, and improved durability without adding weight. The 35mm heel / 31mm forefoot stack height and 6mm drop keep the foot well-protected while maintaining a grounded, confident feel on technical terrain. The remodeled Vibram Megagrip outsole with 5mm traction lugs in a refined lug orientation delivers elite-level grip on loose scree, mud, wet rock, and mixed trail surfaces, cementing the Speedgoat 7 as a true all-terrain crusher. At just 8.55 oz for women's, it's also approximately half an ounce lighter than its predecessor.
