Since 1973, the Arizona has been the definitive two-strap sandal. This version wears it in Birkibuc® — Birkenstock's proprietary synthetic material that has been lightly brushed to replicate the soft, matte appearance of genuine nubuck leather. The result is a casual, understated texture that feels more relaxed and worn-in than the smooth Birko-Flor® version, while offering all the same durability and easy-care practicality.

Birkibuc® is skin-friendly, tear-resistant, and built to hold up over time — without any of the maintenance that genuine nubuck requires. The suede footbed lining keeps things soft and comfortable where your foot meets the sandal, while a natural leather insole adds lasting structure beneath.

Underfoot, you'll find the same legendary Birkenstock cork-latex contoured footbed that has made this sandal a wardrobe staple across generations — made in Germany and designed to gradually mold to your unique foot shape with wear. A deep heel cup holds the heel in its natural position, interior and exterior arch supports cradle both sides of the foot, a transverse arch support stabilizes the metatarsal bones, and raised toe grips encourage natural toe movement with every step. A flexible, lightweight EVA outsole delivers cushioning and durability from the ground up.

Two adjustable metal pin-buckle straps let you find your perfect fit and adjust as needed throughout the day.
